Hello,
Recently, since the appointment of Yolk as a member of our administrative support team, we've had some trouble with another site; I'd like to explain these problems, and let you know how we're going to solve them.
Yolk was a staff member of a forum board hosted by Scaped.net - Gorgor owned the host, and Yolk helped maintain a board running Gorgor's software. This software is architectural design is based on the official RuneScape forums created by Jagex. Since Yolk was invited to become an administrator here, he decided he wouldn't use the forum hosted by Scaped.net as often - Whilst few of us actually retaliated to this argument, there are a select few who did.
Both RSZ and Scaped have been attacked, and I would like these attacks to stop. Even though I was not involved, I am personally offering an apology to Gorgor for the troubles from our side, and wish him and his site well. He has a very good forum software and it would be a shame for it to go to waste. Gorgor, when you read this, feel free to E-Mail me at admin@runescapez.com and I'd be happy to discuss ideas for a link exchange, or maybe even some ways we can help each other out.
Thanks for reading,
Matt

|
Taking a break from coding the new site to do a feature which I'd been intending to create for quite some time, over the past two days I've put together a RuneScape Statistics tracker! This will keep track of your skill advancements in RuneScape with handy graphs and images which allow for easy viewing of progress over the past day, week, month, or all time.
To create a profile, simply type your username into the search bar, and it will start tracking data for it. The tracker will automatically update every 24 hours (at mignight GMT), but you can also update your profile manually any time you wish by clicking the 'Update' option in the top corner (though you cannot do this within an hour of the last or next update).
To switch between skills to view the graph of, simply click the icon on the left hand side, and select between experience or rank from the dropdown box.
You will notice that the tracker has a fairly minimalistic appearance. This is mainly due to the fact that is uses a completely different database to the rest of the site, so that its database can function at maximum speed without being bogged down with unrelated data (and vice versa). This is also due to it being styled and sized to fit into the sidebar of the RS Client we have. As such, a link has been added to the client's homepage for quick access.
If you change your RuneScape username, naturally the tracker won't be able to locate your profile, so simply click the Change name' link and put your old and new name into the boxes to copy all your old stats to your new profile.
The tracker can be accessed via this link, or by one on the sidebar of the homepage.

|
As some of you have already noticed, the forums have been reshuffled slightly. The Introduction forum has moved to the "RSZ Community" section along with Events, and the Website and Forum Feedback forums have relocated to the Official section. The "Monsters and NPCs" forum has also been retired and removed from sight (don't worry, the topics and posts still exist, and are accessable via direct link, but the link to the forum has simply been removed; we're not going to have a repeat of Jagex's fiascous Future Updates removal).
The order of the categories has also been changed to one that makes more sense in terms of importance.
While not a major update, it's felt that these forums fall into more fitting categories now, and are generally improved.
